How a referral counts
A salon counts as yours when they sign up through your referral link or use your code at checkout. That's the only way we track it, so always send them through your link. Your code also gives the salon 20% off their first month, so it's an easier pitch — they save, and you earn.
You get paid only on payments that actually clear and aren't refunded or charged back. Studioloop has a 30-day free trial, so:
- During their trial, no payment happens, so nothing is owed yet.
- When their trial ends and the first payment clears, your commission starts.
- Each month they keep paying, you keep earning — for as long as they stay a paying customer.
- If a payment is refunded or reversed, that month's commission doesn't apply.
What you earn
A one-time signing bonus the first time a referred salon becomes a paying customer (paid after their first payment clears):

Commission is a percentage of what the salon actually pays Studioloop that month, including any usage charges. Bigger salons pay more and stay longer, so they're worth chasing.
Extra ways to earn
Annual-plan kicker
If a salon you refer signs up on annual billing instead of monthly, you get an extra $25 on top of the signing bonus. Annual salons pay upfront and stick around.
Volume milestone
Every 5 paying salons you've referred, you get a $150 bonus. Refer 5, that's $150; the next 5, another $150, and so on.
Retention kicker
When a salon you referred is still paying at 6 months, you get an extra $30 — a thank-you for bringing salons that actually stick.
When you get paid
Commission is paid monthly, one cycle behind — so January's commission is paid at the end of February, once the 30-day refund window has closed. Signing bonuses and kickers are paid the same way, after the salon's first payment clears. Payments go via Stripe Connect to your connected bank account (1–2 business days after each monthly run). There's no minimum payout threshold.
If a salon you referred later does a chargeback, that amount comes off your next payout.
The fine print, kept short
- "For life" means for as long as that salon is a paying Studioloop customer. If they cancel and come back later through a different channel, that's a fresh start.
- Don't sign up fake salons or your own accounts — those don't count and end the arrangement.
- Either of us can end this with 30 days' notice. If we do, you keep earning on salons already referred and active.
